As we age, many of us want to continue our call to draw nearer, to transform the way we experience each day and the way we relate to everything… To make the subtle shift from the surface ‘I’’ to the deeper ‘We’, alongside the grief we experience due to illnesses, new limitations, the loss of loved ones.
During the year, we aim to hold the space for us all to listen and share the Wisdom alive within ourselves and each other, and the gifts of simplicity, truth and freedom that flow from that. The intention is to tenderly open to the different challenges and possibilities that aging offers, knowing that there are no experts on it.
We will meet online monthly for 8 months, with smaller circle group meetings in between. Feedback from a participant in 2025 has been: “It has given me a place to be safe and supported as I am. It is a generous, compassionate offering that has given me new insights with softer and deeper practices to navigate my ageing journey with more freedom and hope.”
We encourage anyone to join us who is wishing to deepen their journey of transitioning into ‘eldership’. It will be helpful if you already have an established contemplative practice (such as meditation, silent prayer, creativity, walking in nature). As a guide for our sharing, we’ll draw on Cynthia Bourgeault’s Guidelines for Conscious Aging; https://www.cynthiabourgeault.org/blog/ten-practical-guidelines-for-conscious-aging
